Easy Fitness Strategies For People New To Fitness Author: Eric Su
Over my last 8 years as a personal fitness trainer, I have learned and experienced so much about effective fitness that I would like to share a few easy fitness strategies that can help you with your fitness program. Strategy #1 If time is your problem, think shorter exercise sessions. Every little bit of activity adds up. 10 minutes is a good amount of time to start with. In this time, you can walk, perform squats, push up or crunches. Shoot for 3 ten minute sessions like this you will be done for the day. Strategy #2 If you are not sure which exercises to do, think compound movements. A compound movement is an exercise that moves more than one joint. Examples of these would be Squats, Push Ups, or Squat with a Shoulder Press. Shoot for 3 sets of 15 repetitions for each compound movement exercise. Strategy #3 If you want to improve your cardiovascular system, try a walk run program. The activity is a little more vigorous compared to just walking, but the benefits are more calories can be burned and your exercise time can be shorter. In the beginning, start with 30 seconds of walking and then 30 seconds of running or jogging. As you progress, increase your time. Shoot for 5 total minutes of this walk run at first. As you improve your cardiovascular system, increase your workout time. The 3 strategies above are effective and can help your fitness program. Remember anything is better than nothing.
